If no one else has the right to speak for you then conversely, you have every right to speak for yourself, to step up and into your life, to be completely and totally you. You don't need to hide your light because of someone else's fear. Hiding doesn't change anything but you. If someone can't shine because you do, it's because they can't shine not because you can. The world needs a lot more light in it, not darkness. Shine your bright light for the world to see. Others who need it will be encouraged to light up the world in their own way. That's what you get to do when you have the power to speak out and speak up in your life, light the way for others. Namaste.
